How to play · 10 balls
10-Ball
9-Ball's tougher cousin. More balls, a tighter rack, and every shot is called.
- Balls
- 1 through 10 plus the cue ball
- Rack
- Triangle. 1-ball in front on the foot spot, 10-ball in the middle of the third row.
- Goal
- Legally pocket the 10 on a called shot
- At Amazin
- Tournaments and pro events
The break
Hit the 1-ball first. A legal break pockets a ball or drives at least four balls to a cushion. A 10 made on the break is spotted, not a win.
Push out
Like 9-Ball, the shot after the break can be a push out. The opponent decides who shoots next.
Playing
- Always hit the lowest-numbered ball first.
- Call every shot: the ball and the pocket. Safeties are called too.
- If a called ball misses its pocket, your opponent may shoot or make you shoot again.
Fouls
- Not hitting the lowest ball first, scratching, or no cushion after contact.
- After a foul, your opponent gets ball in hand anywhere on the table.
- Three fouls in a row loses the game.
Winning
Pocket the 10 on a legal, called shot. A 10 made early or by accident is spotted.
